A new coat of paint!
Howdy folks,
You may find the website has a new coat of paint!
MichaelRiley.dev didnt have much traffic to begin with, but I have wanted so bad to move my site over to Wagtail after trying (really hard) to like using Drupal 10. I had originally deployed my blog site on Drupal to help learning more about the Drupal Ecosystem for work and made the mistake of using my blog site as that candidate. I should have used a test site for it instead.
I found fairly quickly after learning about Wagtail that I liked the customization aspect of Wagtail more than I did with the Module ecosystem of Drupal.
I've been wanting to write some content on it for awhile about a variety of topics, and I plan on doing so. It took a fair bit of time to get the site developed. Currently a lot of the pages are not visible, due to me needing to populate it with content.
The development environment I have for the site does have the content already configured, I just need to move that over to this environment.
There should be some more content over here soon and more pages should appear on the site as I get it configured.
You may find some front end weirdness with stuff I have to fix, this is very much a work in progress. The front end was created from the ground up with Tailwind CSS. Overall, I am very pleased with it.
This site was originally supposed to be public around May, when something happened in my persona life that you can find out about in the subsequent blog post.
As of currently only the About Me page is up alongside the blog. I do have more functionality implemented for the website that is implemented, but it needs more finishing touches. However there was a recent even that has also made me realize that this site needs to be up before that work can be completed.
Again if your interested, please visit the subsequent blog post that was added around the end of July.
